Kwibuka 26, is a commemoration of 26 years after the genocide that happened in Rwanda in 1994. The pain is still deep in the hearts of many Rwandese who suffered the consequences of hate and ignorance at the time. At the same time, many victims have risen powerfully to forgive ther tormentors, knowing that Love is greater thah hate.
The annual commemoration is a time to remember and enforece the condemnation of hate and the celebration and embracement of LOVE. Though wounds are still deep and may not be forgotten, the memories of loved ones who died brutally during the genocide still hunts family members who are alive.
