“Ms. Lydia” I called her… was so attentive and comical and loving to her family and friends. I’m going to miss all the stories and random memories she would tell.
This memorial was erected in memory of our Gone But Loved one.
Elaine was born in Chicago, Il to Patricia Cox and Vernell Hollings. She was the Eldest of three children. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and she was baptized at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, under the leader ship of Reverend Clay Evans. Elaine attended Phillips high school where she graduated and later went on to attend nursing school where she also graduated in 1979. She really loved helping people. She always thought she had the cure to make people better. Elaine was very good with her hands. In her younger years, she would always take things apart and put them back together, especially things like TVs’s and radios. She love to do things on her own.
